Three day weekends are the best, really every weekend should be a three day weekend : ) Unfortunately we hardly ever make it to Semiahmoo, mostly because basketball practices on Friday nighs, and dance and games all day Saturdays makes it hard to get away for a weekend. At the start of the year we spotted a three day weekend on the school calendar at the end of January and we knew it was the perfect chance for a little family get away up north! We lucked out with amost 60 degree weather, so we soaked up the sun and explored the beach and played tennis and basketball. Semiahmoo is beautiful, and always a good time!
Some of the best moments :
*watching Pride and Prejudice as a family.
( our kids always laugh because Keith and I watch it all the time. Keith knows its one of the few movies I'll actually sit down and watch.) It was the only movie we had with us and so we decided to throw it in. Ben couldn't wait till the end. He just wanted to see Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth kiss already!
* eating an entire pan of scootcharoos in one night- everyones favorite
*Taylers determination to start her own fire ( for more smores)
*Rex outgrowing his boots, so wearing mine
*Keith teaching kk and the boys to play hearts
awe, love this!
Ben always knows how to throw together a killer outfit ; )
They wanted to make goofy faces, so naturally KK just gave me the booty shot and thought it was pretty funny!
Tays had her new polaroid camera, everyone was excited to watch the "magic" happen!
We all went for a walk and thought that Keith was just ahead of us, turned out he wasn't and Ben could hardly stand it, not knowing where his dad was, it was just too much for him to handle! Seriously biggest daddy's boy there ever was! He spent the entire walk pouting and upset, until keith found us... and then it was like chirstmas morning for ben!
Rex out grew his boots, so he spent the afternoon in my boots, which were basically up past his knees. He didn't mind though, they gave him a good reason to go out in the water and dance... and make us laugh!
bald eagles everywhere.. this one flew right over us ( they are HUGE) and landed on these branches by us(and then pooped, which of course the boys loved! )
working hard to start a fire for round two of smores. Tays was confident that her girlscamp skills would help her get it done : )
