Tuesday nights at our house right now means one thing. American Idol. The boys are fed, bathed, and in bed and the rest of us are on the couch snuggled together by 7:00 sharp. ( Except last night Rex must have felt the AI enthusiasm because he wouldn't fall asleep and came and joined us instead.) It's become quite the family affair. Thanks to Tayler ... she keeps it very well organized, every week she comes prepared with pen and paper in hand. She writes out all of the contestants, the phone number to call to vote for each one, and then after EVERY performance asks each of us if we would like to vote for that contestant and keeps a tally. (I pull for Adam every week, he rocks.... best contestant on the show EVER, no doubt!) We never actually voted past seasons, but the girls were determined to make our votes matter this season!

In fact I left the room for a few minutes after the show was over tonight and when I came back in the room Tayler had a phone to her ear with a big grin across her face. She was proud to say she had just voted for Kris for the 10th time!

I love it, American Idol and your enthusiasm for it! So cute that Tayler takes notes and makes sure you vote, those will be fun family memories.

to funny!!! We love that show as well. We usually even let Braxton watch it with us because he loves to listen to the music and then clap when everyone claps!! And Kris is definitely a favorite of ours!!

I think its great that you're girls are learning the importance of voting at such a young age. What an all-american family!

that is so cute! When we were staying with my parents during prt of last season we were big into it, too. We would have elimination contests and the person who guessed right would get a prize! Such a fun show!
