Happy Birthday BEN!!!

 

 Happy Birthday to our sweet Ben!

Ben had a pretty great 6th birthday celebration! For his birthday dinner he requested his dads home made pizza, of course! Ben loves his dad just as much as he always has, such a daddy's boy! Drew and I made a chocolate birthday cake and Drew made sure the cake was frosted with light blue frosting, which has always been Ben's very favorite color! .....

For at least two years straight he refused to drink out of a cup or eat off of a plate that wasn't light blue! Thankfully he's over that!  Yes, Ben can still be stubborn, but it's balanced out with sweetness now too, seriously Ben has become a total sweetheart!

My very favorite part about celebrating Bens birthday was the fact that Rex asked me at least 10 times to take him shopping so he could buy something for Ben ( with his own money). We never got to it, so literally right before we ate dinner and opened presents Rex talked me into running him quickly to Target to pick something special out for Ben. He quickly started choosing several things he wanted to buy, I asked him if he was sure he wanted to use so much of his own money. I reminded him it was the thought that mattered  and he could pick out something small and Ben would be happy... His response to that was "Mom, Ben is my very best friend!" " I want to get him something good" My heart melted in that moment. These boys truly are the best of friends! Its the best thing in the world to see!  

The next day Ben was so excited about having some of his best friends over to Nanas for swimming and more celebrating!
We love our Benny Boy so much!
